Legal Summer Programme

Summer programme in London

Study international law at CTLS and King’s College

In your second year, it will be time for your first experience abroad. If you wish, you can travel to London to participate in the Transnational Law summer programme at the Center for Transnational Legal Studies (CTLS) and King’s College. This is a unique opportunity to take subjects such as European Union Law and International Public Law at two renowned institutions:

Jointly created by ten of the world’s top law schools, CTLS specialises in transnational law. As the only Spanish university involved in CTLS, ESADE is the only school in Spain that offers its students this experience.

King’s College is the fourth-oldest university in England and one of the world’s best academic institutions; it is especially renowned for its training in law and the humanities.

Duration: 3 weeks in June

Classes: mornings and afternoons

Subjects: European Community Law and International Public Law

Outdoor activities: Legal London Tour, featuring visits to the Parliament, the Supreme Court, the Spanish Embassy and more.

Note: This cost of this experience is not included in the tuition fee.

The importance of an education in transnational law

As the world becomes increasingly globalised, it is essential to understand the legal systems of different countries. In the future, the legal cases you’ll be asked to handle may straddle borders: divorce proceedings involving people of different nationalities; the hiring of foreign employees; the startup of a business in an Asian, Arab or American country... or even in a member state of the European Union.
